All of my older brothers had implantable contact lens surgery, so I followed them and had it done at the same place. There is quite an age gap between me and my brothers, so I had it done after some time had passed. Compared with then, the price had gone up by 500,000 won, and as the ophthalmology clinic name changed, the person who had been the chief director went to Seoul, so I entrusted my implantable contact lens surgery to a director I was seeing for the first time. First, to have implantable contact lens surgery, dilating the pupils comes first. But even after I put in the pupil-dilating eye drops several times and waited for a while, my pupils didn't get as large as other people's, so I had to wait for quite a long time. After some time passed, the surgery began in the operating room inside the ophthalmology clinic. Since you're anesthetized, you just smell something like squid burning, and if you do exactly what the director tells you, the surgery goes well. You just have to look at the light when they tell you to, without thinking about anything else!! It's been a little over 4 years, and my current visual acuity is 1.0. Maybe because I don't drive yet, I haven't really felt that glare or halos are severe. Still, I did drive when getting my driver's license, and maybe because I was nervous, but I didn't really feel side effects like glare or halos! I visited regularly every year and had things like visual acuity tests and post-surgery follow-up checks done for free. But I haven't gone this year, so I don't know how it is this year. Still, since it's close to home, there are times when I visit, and when they check me then, they tell me what has happened with the lens now and give me eye drops to supplement and treat it, or take appropriate measures!
I'm satisfied! My eyesight was so bad before surgery that I feel my eyes now are fine. And I really use my phone a lot, so I also feel I need to keep some distance from it.
