A clinic-shopping review I’m writing before I forget. It may be disorganized. I have a hump nose with drooping nasal tip, I have no complaints about my nose height, and I prefer no implant.
1. ㄴㅇㄷ CT scan O Consultation fee x Since it was my first consultation, I was flustered during it. And I was completely drained by the confident, fast-talking style that felt like I was being intensely pushed along(?) They did take a CT, but they didn’t explain based on the CT; they consulted while drawing on an iPad. They drew well, so I thought their aesthetic sense might match mine well.
For surgical materials, they said ear cartilage alone would be possible, and if I felt anxious, we could use just a very small amount of septal cartilage. About side effects, they said there was enough material and that it absolutely wouldn’t happen. The surgical method was to shave the hump slightly, use ear cartilage + septal cartilage to raise the nasal tip, and correct the columella. I couldn’t ask whether osteotomy beside the hump would be done
They showed me photos of cases similar to mine while consulting, so it was very easy to understand. They said they do 2 surgeries a day, and CCTV can be viewed only by immediate family members.
2. ㅋㅇㅍㄹㅅ Director ㄱㅅㅇ (consultation fee 10,000 won) There was no CT scan, and in the consultation room they lifted my hair with a headband and consulted while touching my nose a lot with their hands. I really felt they were professional, and I liked that they caught things I hadn’t even thought of. Plan 1: shave the hump, osteotomy, fill the depressed middle area with donated dermis, and bind the nasal tip with ear cartilage. They suggested inserting a little donated dermis to fill the sunken area, and said that because it would actually be an extremely small amount, side effects should not occur. They also explained that there might be no effect, and it could become red as if blood had pooled. (They said they don’t use autologous dermis because, why bother? There’s no need to make a wound to do it; making a wound is bad anyway, so for this small amount, they suggested using donated dermis.) Plan 2: if I like my current nose height and size, autologous dermis + ear cartilage for the nasal tip.
I liked that they suggested a second plan too. They also said Director ㄱㅈㅇ might have a different opinion from theirs, so they recommended I get a consultation with that director too.
3. ㅂㅌㅇ CT O / Consultation fee X I ran there because I heard it was the hospital a YouTuber went to. They took a CT, explained in detail how much septal cartilage I have, and showed it in 3D. Build support with septal cartilage, use ear cartilage for the nasal tip, fill the depressed middle area with septal cartilage, shave the hump slightly, and no osteotomy is needed. They explained in detail the parts I was worried about. When I said I was worried about septal cartilage, they said they wouldn’t harvest that excessively, and while laughing, told me that if I worried about everything that much, I wouldn’t be able to have surgery A/S due to inflammation is free for 1 year. There was also a big difference in advertising cost.
Personally, I’m leaning most toward ㅂㅌㅇ. Anyone who knows ㅂㅌㅇ well, please leave a comment
Besides that, I’m planning to visit ㅁㄱ(ㅣㅗ), ㅇㅂㅋ, ㅇㅂㄹ, and ㄹㅋㅋ too. If anyone knows reviews among these as well, please leave a comment
