Eye Surgery Reviews

The K Plus Community Review

I went for a consultation about partial-incision double-eyelid surgery and medial canthoplasty. The first thing I noticed was that the waiting time was quite long. I was already drained of energy before the consultation, so personally the waiting system was the biggest disappointment. Still, the doctor was very kind during the consultation and explained my questions in detail, so I could listen comfortably. However, I did not feel the certainty of “This is the place” or a strong pull toward it. The doctor said I did not need ptosis correction and explained that they did not recommend it because it could create overly strong creases. Instead, because my eyelid-opening strength was slightly weak, they said a partial-incision method, midway between a full incision and a non-incisional method, would be most appropriate. It was interesting because I had never heard of this method before. They recommended medial canthoplasty because my eyes might look somewhat constricted without it, but honestly said that because of my eye structure, extensive widening would be difficult and about 1 mm was the limit. That actually made me trust them more. Overall, the price felt mid-range compared with the clinics I had previously consulted. It was a kind and ordinary consultation, but personally it did not lead to strong confidence in the surgical direction or design. Still, I really liked that the doctor frequently checks patients’ progress and was very kind.
