Eye Surgery Reviews

Private community review

At first they were extremely kind and said they could do everything when I asked, adding that they would try their best. I felt we were on the same wavelength with the doctor and communicated well, and they said they would resolve any postoperative problem properly, so I trusted them. I repeatedly said I disliked my eyes looking too close together and did not want an upper canthoplasty, but they said my eyes would not look close together and that it was necessary for a larger crease, so I agreed to do it on one side. However, once I was lying on the operating table, I ended up having both sides done. I could not tell because of the swelling. Around three weeks later, I realized one side had been overcorrected in the ptosis correction, so I raised the issue with the clinic. The doctor got angry at me, saying it was swelling. I had come in at two weeks, and if he had dealt with so many patients, he should have recognized overcorrection. He should also have known that the golden window for ptosis correction is through two weeks. I still resent it. I am living with overcorrection in one eye, and I stopped having cosmetic surgery because I became afraid after this. I am looking into revision surgery for retraction, but only a few places do it, and I am too scared to proceed.
