For reference, I’m a case where I previously had incisional double-eyelid surgery, but one eye’s fold came undone, so I looked into and visited various clinics for revision surgery consultations. I’m very interested in plastic surgery, so I search a lot, and I also tend to hear a lot of information from people around me, so I went to 5 famous and recommended places for consultations. I’ll introduce the 3 that stood out the most. The surgeries I wanted were incisional ptosis correction (I wanted a semi-out line) revision surgery + epicanthoplasty, lower canthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty. My mindset was, let’s open everything that can be opened.. haha
The order I went in was Banobagi, Cookie, then Hani.
1. Banobagi, Director Park Sun-jae
I told him what I wanted, but first of all, the director said there was no need to do anything else, to do the non-incisional buried method, and to go for a natural look. Honestly, the director himself was very nice, and the consultation was good in the sense of “just do exactly what’s needed.” However, I wanted an incisional method, and my personality is the type that has to do what I want, so I wasn’t drawn to it.. haha The consultation was over quickly in 5 minutes, and for all the surgeries I wanted, he said no! and only recommended the buried method. It was a very clean and straightforward consultation style.
2. Cookie Plastic Surgery, Director Bae Joo-young
He explained things very specifically, and maybe because he is an ophthalmology specialist, he talked in a lot of detail about the effects on the eyes, the points patients worry about, and the expected results. He did not recommend lateral-lower canthoplasty, and talked about epicanthoplasty, upper canthoplasty, and incisional ptosis correction. He also recommended going in a natural direction. I said I wanted a semi-out line, but he said it could be a bit difficult, and I was recommended an in-out line. The consultation fee was 5,000 won, and I strongly felt that it was worth getting the consultation!! I even felt like maybe I should do it at Cookie.
3. Hani Plastic Surgery, Director Choi Jung-hoon
Lastly, I went to Hani, and surprisingly, I liked the consultation the best, to the point that I paid the deposit right after the consultation... haha It was good. Director Choi helped with a very detailed consultation. He said all the surgeries I wanted were possible, and he made lines 1, 2, and 3 for me and told me to choose. He helped me in detail while looking in the mirror to see what suited me, and I liked line 2 that he made with that pin? so much that I thought, ah, I should do it here. He also seemed confident, and my trust in him went up a lot.. haha He told me to look directly in the mirror to see the effect and showed me. That’s where my mind started to change. There were places that had rejected my semi-out line request before, but Director Choi said it was definitely possible and said there was no surgery that couldn’t be done.. Also, I didn’t know this, but apparently he’s famous as the original master of semi-out lines. That made me want to do it there even more. Honestly, the cost is higher than other places, but I think the fact that he marked the line directly on my eyes was a big factor. Since I’m doing revision surgery anyway, I chose Hani hoping it turns out well with the line I want.
