I thought regular injections would hurt too much, so I got it after the gun device came out. The areas where the numbing cream was applied well were fine, and when it passed over areas where it hadn't been applied, it hurt a little lol For me, it didn't have much effect on resolving inner dryness; if anything, I got drier as time passed, so if you're going to do it, I think the answer really is to keep doing it consistently.
