I was a bit worried about the fat pads in my lower cheeks and the loss of skin elasticity, so I got Shurink and InMode here and there for a while, then was recommended thread lifting, so after thinking about it I went ahead and got it done.
I was worried about my jawline, and they mixed Mint threads and Blue Diamond threads and inserted about 10 threads. I originally wanted to start with 4 to 6 threads and gradually add more, but ㅠㅠ they said it’s better to do it all at once when you do it, so since I was already doing it, I consulted and had 10 threads inserted. There are several types of threads, such as Mint, Blue Diamond, High Lift, and others, and I think it’s best to consult about the areas you’re concerned about and choose the one that suits you best.
It’s been about 100 days since then, and I have absolutely no foreign-body sensation and feel comfortable. I didn’t have any big bruises or scars in the areas where the threads were placed. For the first 3 to 4 days after the procedure, there was a lot of stinging, heat, and swelling, but after about a week it wasn’t painful anymore, though it still felt a bit caught and tight when I opened my mouth wide or chewed food. At first, it pulled so much that I couldn’t smile properly..
It may differ from person to person, but if the threads pass through the cheekbone area and get caught, the lifted tissue bunches up, so for the first 2 to 3 weeks the cheekbone area can look bigger (that was a bit stressful ㅠ) still, the lower jawline was definitely much more refined, and since I was wearing a mask while there was swelling, it was at least manageable. I also had a lot of cheek volume above my nasolabial folds, so those folds were quite visible before, but after the lifting they’re less noticeable.
I think I had even better results because I lost a bit of weight too, and I heard the effects last around 6 months to 1 year depending on the person, so I plan to do InMode in between ㅎㅅㅎ
I heard some people get headaches if it’s pulled too much, but I didn’t have any at all. I didn’t think it was dramatic, but in photos I can clearly see a difference from before. If you’re 고민이신 분들, I recommend getting a consultation at least once.
