I had incisional double eyelid surgery 5 years ago, and it came undone after about a year and a half, but I just lived with it and recently went around for consultations because I’m thinking of revision surgery! One side has loosened, and the other side has developed layered double eyelids!
Criteria for choosing clinics: clinics specializing in eyes, clinics that were as non-factory-like as possible, and I excluded any clinic if there was even one bad review!
I like my incisional line, so I want double eyelid surgery using that same line, and if it can be raised a little, I’d like that too (not being greedy)
When I went for consultations, I didn’t make any requests like wanting this or disliking that at all. Because it was important that the director’s preferred direction matched mine, I only gathered the directors’ opinions!
1. ㄴㅅㅎ Plastic Surgery (Director ㄱㄷㅎ) The double eyelid didn’t come undone; it’s that fat was lost. Recommended keeping the line as it is. Partial incision on both sides + fat grafting from the thigh to one eye Free revision surgery for 3 years; after that, only anesthesia/material costs are charged No request for review photos or events
2. ㅂㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery (Director ㄱㅌㅎ) If I only want one side, they don’t recommend it, but it is possible. Free revision surgery for 1 year They re-quoted the price on the condition of review photos for 2 years.
3. ㅇㅇㅋㅌ Plastic Surgery (one director) Photos were taken before the consultation. Recommended only double eyelid surgery, either non-incisional or incisional, on both sides. If the line is raised, my eyes are prone to looking sausage-like, so it can be done but is not recommended. Free revision surgery for 1 year; from after 1 year up to 2 years, only anesthesia fees are charged. Review-photo requested price.
4. ㅇㄹㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery (one director) Recommended raising the line (seems to pursue a glamorous-eye look!) Incision on both sides, excise about 2 mm, then suture. Recommended epicanthoplasty. Free revision surgery for 10 years No review photos or events Fixed pricing.
5. ㅂㅇㅇ Plastic Surgery (one director) Incision on both sides + canthoplasty They said the Mongolian fold in the front could be the cause of the double eyelid coming undone. Both the director and the consultant spoke very confidently about the surgery. Free revision surgery for 2 years Review-photo requested price. There was no consultation fee, but after saying they would do it very cheaply, I paid 10,000 won non-refundable....... I feel like I was slightly bewitched.. haha They took eye photos with a phone, but they intentionally told me to open my eyes in a sleepy, half-open way, so my trust dropped a bit..

There was no consultation fee anywhere, and the waiting times were relatively short, maybe because it was a weekday. (No place had me wait more than 30 minutes.)
