Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> At first, time felt like it was barely passing, but it has already been two months since my surgery, so I went in for a follow-up! I also got another CT scan, and the director looked at it with me while checking everything. My cheekbones had healed well in place, so I felt really relieved ㅠㅠ
The director said the bone union is going well now and that I can eat hard foods too, so I briefly thought, “Can I really eat those already...?” But I trust the director completely right now, so I was deeply moved, thinking I can finally eat anything without worrying...
Is it usually okay to eat even hard foods at the 2-month mark? I thought it would take much longer..
After looking at the CT, the director said that at this level, there is no chance it will open up again, so I can eat without worrying. I’m thinking this also healed quickly because the director did such a good job..
* So, based on my standards, what becomes possible at 2 months is:
- You can eat hard foods too (must get a CT scan and approval from the director) - You can confidently wear accessories on your face, whether it’s a ball cap or anything else - You can yawn (I can’t open super wide, but anyway, I can yawn comfortably now) - You can confidently take off your mask - You can do cardio exercise without worrying
About that? That’s what comes to mind, and so far this still feels like a surgery with far more pros for me!! My mouth still doesn’t open very wide, so it’s uncomfortable when eating thick foods, so now, more than anything else, I’m just waiting for the day I can open my mouth wide ㅠㅠ
