First of all, ever since I was young, I was really concerned about my fierce-looking impression. Whenever I asked friends around me what their first impression of me was, most said things like “you looked scary” or “you looked rude”.. That says it all. I had the surgery in early January after I had just become an adult. The eyes I wanted were those flashy outline-style double eyelids that many Japanese people get, but during the consultation, the doctor warned me that it would be difficult to create that kind of line. Pros: So natural that people around me forget I had surgery. The swelling really all went down in just one week. Cons: As time passes, the line gets thinner. You may end up with asymmetrical eyes..
Double eyelid surgery has now become safe enough that you can approach it with a light heart, but if you take it too casually, you may end up with asymmetrical eyes like me or get a line you didn’t intend, so be careful.. (But I’m so deeply moved just by the fact that I got out of having monolids that I don’t care even 1 bit and am living well haha)
