6 months ago, I had incisional ptosis correction + double eyelid surgery. When the stitches were removed, they said my left eye didn’t have enough opening strength, so on day 7, I had ptosis correction again only on the left side. But in the end, 6 months later, the ptosis correction on the left eye loosened, so I recently had another ptosis correction revision on the left eye 5 days ago!
But something serious happened.. It’s now day 5 after the revision, and the left eye has definitely been corrected, but my right eye has less opening strength than before and has become smaller.. So instead of the asymmetry being evened out, the size difference between my left and right eyes has reversed, and they’re uneven in the opposite way.
I heard this is called Hering’s phenomenon? The hospital says it could be swelling and told me to wait,, but you know I can’t feel at ease Has anyone had this kind of experience.. Will the asymmetry even out over time???? Since it’s the eye that wasn’t operated on that got smaller.. I’m really, really scared This is already the 3rd time on my eyes in 6 months, and I’m afraid they’ll cut again
