So I had saved up the money for rhinoplasty~ and secured enough time to rest at home~ I made up my mind and started going around for consultations. When I went to consultations, I carried around photos of Shin Se-kyung’s nose, the standard straight-with-slight-curve style ^^.. hahaha
But after going to several consultations, what I felt was that some hospitals would look at the photo and then basically ignore it, give a short explanation, and end it.. And some places didn’t even ask whether I had a photo to show.. The reason I had surgery here was probably because when I showed the director Shin Se-kyung’s photo, he compared the nose in the photo with my nose and explained in detail what the differences were and how I needed to have the surgery hahaha..
And they carefully checked the design so the shape could come out as close as possible to what I wanted! As I had expected, my nose itself was small and my glabella area was on the low side, so they said it was a somewhat difficult case compared with an ordinary primary surgery.
So the director explained all the nasal materials and told me what would suit my nose. He said it would be difficult to raise the nasal tip with only septal cartilage and ear cartilage, so costal cartilage would also need to be used! I decided on costal cartilage after hearing the pros and cons~ There was no one-sided pressure or anything like that haha Of course, I also had short-nose correction.
As I said at the beginning, rhinoplasty was a surgery I had wanted for a very long time, so I think I could get through the discomfort of wearing the splint. Also, during consultation, the director designed it while checking whether the nasal line harmonized with my facial features, so maybe that’s why it didn’t feel hugely awkward even early on hahaha
At the hospital, on day 2 after surgery, they gave me a swelling injection, and at week 1 and week 2, I received swelling laser treatment with something called SmartLux? Thanks to that, even now at one month, I think it has quite a slim look. I also went in for my one-month follow-up, and I wanted to level up quickly in this community, so I took and uploaded my review photos haha
