I paid a lot for my first surgery (I had my first surgery using silicone and donated costal cartilage.. I thought my nose was the type that needed costal cartilage), but I didn’t like the line, so I ended up getting revision surgery again.. Since I’d been overcharged and had surgery a few years ago, I felt a huge sense of betrayal toward the clinic..? I guess that’s what I’d call it, so revision surgery was something I had no choice but to decide on with extreme, extreme caution
This time, I honestly did look into whether there were clinics with good event prices because I wanted to get revision surgery done well by someone skilled, but also at a reasonable price...! (It wasn’t like I had the mindset of “I absolutely have to do it at an event price!!” But I’m not in a position where I can get revision surgery without considering the cost..) So when I told the clinic director that I really wanted revision surgery but also wanted to stay within my budget, and asked what surgeries were absolutely necessary, they said it would likely be enough to properly correct the undercorrected bulbous nose and hump areas again, and just do osteotomy + nasolabial angle and nasal tip apex correction..! That was an explanation I could accept, and the honest answer somehow really resonated with me, so I scheduled surgery for the earliest available date and got the revision done
I worried about it for a long time, but the decision was surprisingly easy to make..; The surgery ended so quickly that I wondered why I had dragged out the worry for so long.. I went in nervous, and when I opened my eyes, it was just already finished;;
After the osteotomy, the difference was much more clearly visible..! Apparently there’s such a thing as the nasal bridge width? that requires osteotomy, so why didn’t the first clinic properly check that.. How on earth did I research and end up getting my nose surgery that way.. For a moment I felt so frustrated, but anyway, the present matters, so I’m living with satisfaction and meaning in the fact that the revision surgery went well..!!
For the nasal tip, I used autologous costal cartilage...! They said that usually after about a month, all the stiffness and tingling go away, so I chose the material without hesitation.... If I was going to make this my final rhinoplasty, this seemed like the only answer. I didn’t do alar reduction, so please keep that in mind haha
Anyway, this place harvested autologous costal cartilage through a minimal incision, and just as the consultant explained, it didn’t hurt much lol I’m normally the type who tolerates pain well, but I think I recovered well. When I got the dressing in the first place, I saw that the suturing had been done cleanly. For autologous costal cartilage, it seems okay to decide on surgery while comparing each of these details? (whether it’s a minimal incision, whether they suture cleanly - without lifting, without unevenness, and whether the director has a lot of experience with autologous costal cartilage surgery)
Ha.. Anyway, I’m satisfied because I just went for a clear lengthening and a glamorous look. All the worries I had disappeared, so I slept comfortably with my legs stretched out, and now I should focus on getting rid of all the remaining minor swelling..
