So after doing a lot of online research, I had a consultation at 345 Hospital, which is famous for facial contouring, and they recommended surgery to shorten and advance the chin, so I had Mini V surgery, and it has now been 2 weeks.
First, from the day after surgery through day 5, the swelling was at its peak I tried to do cold compresses as much as possible, and from around day 6, it felt like the swelling was going down slightly, so I occasionally did warm compresses. On day 7, the hospital gave me a compression band, so I’ve been wearing it whenever I have time. Now that I’m entering week 2, the swelling has definitely gone down a lot compared with week 1, but the swelling around my chin is still quite full and square-looking
I didn’t really tell people around me that I had surgery, and after having surgery on Friday, I went to work on Monday wearing a mask with tons of swelling I said I had my wisdom tooth removed, and no one noticed… haha
First of all, my long chin, which had been my complex, has become much shorter, so my whole face also looks shorter, and I’m very satisfied with that. The surgery was not as painful as I expected, and I think it’s more accurate to say it was uncomfortable. Swelling probably varies by person, but it seems like at least 2-3 weeks need to pass before I can go around without a mask Until the stitches were removed, I ate liquid foods, porridge, and steamed egg, and thanks to that I suddenly lost about 4 kg… haha Because I was commuting, I couldn’t rinse my mouth often, and they said there was something like a very small hole inside my mouth. I think I really need to pay close attention to rinsing my mouth, and I hope the remaining swelling goes down quickly and sensation comes back too.
I had the intraoral stitches removed, and although it’s still not perfect because of the chin swelling, it’s just amazing to clearly see that the chin length has decreased.
