I’m from Pohang and I had already had both my eyes and nose done, but I just didn’t like them So I worked hard researching for revision surgery and asked acquaintances a lot too (influencer acquaintances, transgender acquaintances, nightlife-industry acquaintances, etc.) A country mouse who mustered up courage went to Gangnam, Seoul for surgery They said if I wanted to choose a place that would open the canthi the way I wanted without re-adhesion, I should go to ㄱㄹ When I searched about the clinic, honestly there were some bad things going around, but I thought the more patients a clinic has operated on, statistically the more of those there will be, and it would be impossible to have none A clinic with no issues at all felt scarier to me Personally, I thought if they had not done many surgeries, of course there would be no dissatisfaction either And I also tend to think luck inevitably plays some role
Anyway Even if it got messed up, I wanted to do it somewhere I liked and I thought even if it got messed up, it’s my face and I’ll take responsibility, so after a KakaoTalk consultation, I immediately put down a deposit at ㄱㄹ (Since my mind was already made up, I felt there was no point in taking a bus for hours just for that, and the only thing I was curious about was how the eyes looked after actually having surgery, so I just put down the deposit, set a surgery date, and decided that when I went to Seoul that day, I would have consultation and then surgery right away)
I like a dramatic look and in the provinces, wherever I went, they refused me, saying there was no more room to open So even though it was famous, I was worried, what if it turns out not to my liking? (I kept only noticing eyes I didn’t like in the clinic website reviews too lololol)
But I don’t know, maybe it was needless worry First of all, the director has incredible confidence lol hehe
And honestly, I don’t know if people living outside Seoul will relate, but you know that worry that because you already live in the provinces and came to Seoul, what if they look down on you and treat you carelessly? For real But that was needless worry too lol
The director noticed even the things I could not bring myself to say because I felt embarrassed to ask again after not understanding the parts he had explained that I was curious about, and he explained them again several times, which was good Warm, comfortable, really nice But not to the point of feeling burdensome The desk staff, manager, and operating-room staff were cute and kind too. I felt people in Seoul are kinder And it was nice that the operating room was not too cold A ridiculously romantic song was playing on the radio I guess it was the director’s taste lol A female staff member asked for my Instagram hehe I’m proud that I made a pretty Instagram friend in Seoul lol The atmosphere was not stiff and it wasn’t a joking-around atmosphere either, but anyway, it’s a place that treats people very comfortably And right after surgery, my eyes were already wide open, so I was startled like whoa. But I’m the type who swells a bit, so on the way home I swelled some, and around days 3 and 4 even my scalp was swollen
I looked so funny, like a dog stung by a bee lol
Other than the foreign-body feeling from conjunctival edema, there wasn’t really any pain or discomfort I didn’t feel pain during surgery either (I think I’m also a bit insensitive to that) I hope the conjunctival edema goes down soon I want to upload eye photos, but eyes that aren’t healed yet look gross, so I thought I shouldn’t upload them and just sent them all to acquaintances lol It will take a while to recover fully, but even looking at the swelling that has not gone down, I can roughly predict the result, and I really like it hehe
