And these days a natural-yet-glamorous nose is apparently the trend.. Every time I looked in the mirror, my nose bothered me, so I thought if it was going to be like this, I might as well just get revision surgery, and I quickly looked into it and finished the surgery.
First, I think the main standard I used to choose the hospital was whether it was a private clinic or not. For my first surgery, I had it done at a large hospital that everyone would know if you said the name, but care and follow-up weren’t handled well, and even when I made an appointment and visited, I got this strong feeling of being neglected.. lol Back then I didn’t know anything, so I just thought that was how all places were, but according to my friends.. that hospital was the weird one After getting burned once like that, I naturally started looking more toward private clinics than large hospitals. So I carefully searched until my eyes hurt for a private clinic that specialized in eyes and noses and was also a place many people went to for revision surgery lol
Among them, the hospital where I had surgery had the longest AS period, and I liked that the director’s consultation was detailed. They explained step by step why this situation had happened and even showed me a 3D virtual simulation, and each careful detail of the hospital felt good. The consultant also deeply empathized with my concerns, and I got unexpectedly touched…. lol I asked the director to correct my crooked nose and make the shape more natural-yet-glamorous than before? and they said that to maintain the nasal tip height I wanted for a long time without drooping, they would need to use a firm material like costal cartilage. Since it was revision surgery anyway, I decided to use donated costal cartilage for the nasal tip so I wouldn’t regret it later..
Since it was revision surgery, I couldn’t help but consider operating room hygiene important, and before entering surgery, the structure required passing through a sterilization system before going inside, so that part made me feel really reassured. Even after entering the operating room, I personally confirmed with my own eyes that it was being cleanly and well managed, and I received anesthesia without worry. Actually, it had been so long since I lay on an operating table that it felt unfamiliar for no reason, and I wondered what if the anesthesia didn’t work lololol but it was a needless worry… haha
Before the nose revision, to me it felt like my nasal tip had come down a lot compared with before, and I could feel my nose gradually becoming crooked.. It bothered me a lot every time I took photos. The cotton was removed on day 3, and until week 1 I lived with gauze and bandages wrapped around my nose lolololol
By week 2, the swelling had gone down a lot, and I started to feel the shape settling in. The swelling had gone down quite a lot, so there was almost no difference from the week 1 photo? I had asked that the nasal tip not be too sharp, and I think that part was reflected well too, because it came out round and to my liking.
Recently, even the residual swelling has gone down, so I can see that my nose has become slimmer than before. My facial features are on the more striking side, so I always felt my nose was a little lacking, but after getting revision surgery, I realized this is exactly the kind of nose that suits my image... I also think I should have had surgery like this sooner, and at the same time I feel it’s good that I did it even now, so I have mixed feelings lol
