Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

Review on day 21 after male revision rhinoplasty in Seomyeon

Hello.

I had revision surgery (A/S) after functional rhinoplasty.

First of all, as you can tell from my preoperative photos, my nasal tip was really low, and my skin was thick and tight.

Personally, I remember the director saying that my nose was one of the difficult types to operate on, and that it might be hard to create the shape I wanted with just one surgery.

I had my first surgery 6 months ago, using 5 mm silicone + septal cartilage and ear cartilage.

For the first surgery, the plan was to deliberately raise the nasal tip a lot to stretch the skin as much as possible, then make it as close as possible to the shape I wanted during the revision.

Actually, when the splint was removed after the first surgery, it was higher than I expected, so I thought I might not need revision surgery. But as the swelling went down, the force of my skin pressing down was definitely strong, so the nasal tip dropped really quickly.

When I went to the hospital to check, they said it was not that the support column had collapsed or anything, but that the skin pressing on the nasal tip (the force trying to return to its original state) was so strong that the cartilages had adhered to each other...ㅠㅠ

Because of that, my nasal bridge was high but the nasal tip was low, so it looked kind of like an Avatar nose and became like a bird beak...

I was stressed for 6 months, but I just tried to accept it.

Actually, even when I lay down on the operating table for the revision, I had half given up and told the director, "Even if the result is not good, I will just live with it." But he responsibly said, "You went through a lot waiting for 6 months, I am sorry I could not give you the result you wanted in one surgery, and this time I will make sure to give you a good result."

For the revision, the columella was tucked slightly inward, the silicone was changed to 3 mm, and more ear cartilage was added.

During the first surgery, there was a lot of bleeding and severe swelling, but during the revision there was not much bleeding, so I did not even need cotton packing, and the swelling was not that bad.

I am sure everyone does this, but I also brought photos of celebrities.

Celebrities with very high and pretty noses, like Seo Kang-joon and Lee Je-hoon.

But what I felt after the first surgery was that it did not suit me...

First, because my nose was raised a lot, it made my nose look long and made me look older, and when the nasal tip dropped in that state, it became very unnatural.

Use celebrity noses only as a reference, and I hope you find a nose that really suits you well!!

Personally, if I were to share my tip for choosing a hospital, when I went around for consultations, every plastic surgery clinic said they could make the nose I wanted.

But thinking from the hospital's perspective, of course they have to say it is possible in order to get patients, perform surgery, and make money, so I looked for a hospital that would honestly find a reasonable compromise with me!

It must be hard, but everyone, hang in thereㅠㅠ
