It has been one month since I finally decided on breast surgery after a long deliberation, so I wanted to share my experience. At the consultation, they explained everything calmly and thoroughly, and their attention to hygiene made me trust [Clinic A], where I had the surgery. Even afterward, they have continued to check my recovery kindly and carefully.
On the day of surgery, the worst part was feeling nauseated and as if I might vomit. Other than that, the pain was not severe. They say even painless recovery depends on the doctor’s skill, and I think it is true—it is amazing.
After considering the incision, I chose the axillary approach. I could not put much strength into my arms and had some limitations when moving. My front door has a push-to-open lock, and on the first day I used up all my strength trying to open it... I thought I might not get into my own home.
At first, sitting up and lying back down was the hardest part. Other than that, I managed all my daily activities by moving carefully. I did feel some pressure or tightness, and a dull ache around my armpits and back. Even with patient-controlled analgesia, it was not completely painless. Since I am writing this after the discomfort has passed, that is all I remember.
Still, I am relieved that I seem to have had a smooth recovery without pain. After one month, the swelling has decreased a lot compared with the beginning, and the shape is gradually becoming more natural.
At my consultation, the doctor said that my upper-to-lower-body proportions were good and that I would have a really beautiful figure if the surgery went well haha. My body line really did become prettier after surgery. I am looking forward to even more improvement!
