Whenever I took photos, only my chin fat stood out noticeably, which had stressed me out for a long time T_T No matter what I did, my jawline did not change much, so I started looking into facial liposuction. Since my nasolabial area also looked hollow, I wondered whether I should have fat grafting there at the same time.
I had a consultation for facial liposuction at [Clinic A] and decided to proceed. They use a system where they take a CT scan and the doctor explains things while looking at the images. In particular, the doctor distinguished whether the chin area was simply bone or fat and explained it clearly. Besides the chin area I was concerned about, they also explained the overall condition of my cheeks and face, which was nice haha.
The doctor said it would be better to fill only the lacking volume in the nasolabial folds rather than overfilling them. For the facial liposuction, we agreed to remove only the fat that seemed unnecessary in the doctor’s assessment.
I compared several places, but the pricing here was transparent and not very different from what I had roughly seen on an app. The doctor did not merely say that I needed these procedures and explain only the surgical methods; seeing the CT together and hearing why each thing was necessary made me trust the clinic and decide to have it done here.
The surgery ended much more comfortably than I expected, and there was almost no pain, which I had been worried about! I kept wearing the compression band the doctor emphasized, and it seemed excellent for reducing swelling around the jawline and refining the contour.
The fat grafting to the nasolabial folds also seems to have settled well now. The areas that looked deeply hollow when I smiled or from the front now look naturally filled with volume. Unlike when the folds were deep, my face no longer looks tired.
I like the front view too, but I like my profile the most!! In the past, my chin and neck blended together, so I really hated being photographed from the side T_T I had so few photos left because I deleted them all after taking comparison photos before surgery haha. But since the surgery, I keep even my side-profile photos, and I sometimes find myself taking pictures from the side without realizing it lol.
