Before before before after after after after after Hello! This February, I had double jaw surgery and two types of facial contouring (square jaw + chin) at a place called Y Oral Surgery, and I’m writing my 6-month review!
I can only see myself in the mirror, so I thought it wasn’t that severe when viewed from the front, but boys started teasing me in middle school..! After my teens, when I turned 20, I was told for the first time that my bite could be corrected with orthodontics. After 2 years of braces, my bite matched, but it started shifting again, my front teeth stopped touching again, and the left and right sides of my molars bit differently. I thought the wounds from when I was young were all forgotten, but they came back again, I got angry, and I didn’t want to live my whole life shrinking whenever people talked about appearance, so I decided to have surgery!
It’s now been 6 months since surgery. The facial swelling has almost all gone down, so it looks natural. I thought it had all gone down at 3 months, but compared to then, it’s different again haha Swelling is really fascinating lol I was like, “Ah, it’s all gone now..” but when I look at old photos later, my face is different lol If I had to pick something inconvenient after double jaw surgery these days, maybe braces..? The braces are still uncomfortable, and sometimes when the scar inside my cheek gets caught and bitten, it still hurts, but appearance-wise I’m very satisfied! hahaha And the biting part is something I’m getting used to, so it feels like it’s happening less often.
Since it’s summer, recently I’ve also gone traveling, and I took a lot of lifetime-best photos there. I’m feeling satisfaction with photos and dressing up in a way I never felt before surgery haha
I haven’t had any dermatology procedures at all, but the bulldog jowls are almost gone lol And an acquaintance who has known me since 3 months after double jaw surgery doesn’t know I had surgery, but keeps saying my facial fat has gone down and my face has gotten smaller lol Anyway, I’m satisfied in many ways!
