Review about 10 years after rhinoplasty

I think it’s been about 10 years, but I don’t remember exactly when it was.

For reference, I’m writing this to share information with people considering plastic surgery and also because I want to hear other people’s opinions, so I want to make clear that this is absolutely not written for the purpose of criticizing or defaming the hospital.

I had rhinoplasty with septal cartilage and silicone from Director ㄱㄱㄹ. They took a CT scan to check whether correction for a deviated nose was needed, but they said it wasn’t crooked, so we proceeded without correction. At first, from the side, the line itself was pretty.

But my nostrils are uneven. One side stands up and the other lies down. -They said I was originally uneven.

What was kind of funny was that when I told the consultation manager, they said that if there was no problem breathing, it wasn’t a side effect? I didn’t get nose surgery because I couldn’t breathe;;ㅜㅜ lol Looking back now, it’s absurd, but I was young back then so I couldn’t really say anything. And when I was washing my face and asked where the foam cleanser was, maybe they got flustered, because they pointed to dish soap, so I washed my face with that~ ㅠ lol There are a lot of episodes like thatㅎ

After surgery, the silicone around the glabella was floating, so every time I pressed it, it made a sound like air escaping, and the silicone was also inserted shifted to the side. Not long after, I had revision surgery and paid the anesthesia fee, 200,000 won. The floating part was fixed, but the silicone being shifted to the side is still the same. It might even have gotten worse. They clearly said it wasn’t a deviated nose and did it without correction, so if it’s crooked to the side, that means the silicone is crooked, right?

It wasn’t so strange that people would notice right away, so I lived with it because I couldn’t be bothered, but after about 5-6 years, I don’t know if the thread tied at the nasal tip came loose or what, but sometimes it hurt a bit when I touched it. And now, after that, my nasal tip is a bit upturned. I don’t know if it’s contracture, but it feels like something that had been fixed came loose and my original nose shape came back. Is this contracture?

And I don’t know if this is normal when septal cartilage is used, but it feels like the inner bony part of my nose that closes when I swallow saliva doesn’t close properly? I can’t really describe it, but anyway, it feels like something is missing, and when I swallow saliva or water, I wonder if that part doesn’t get moistened. When I’m trying to quench my thirst, it always feels like it’s 2% short. I’m not a doctor, so I don’t know what it is. Also, sometimes when I’m lying on my side, every time I breathe, there’s a small clicking sound from that area. I don’t know what it is, but nothing has happened so far, so well...

At first, a few of my friends saw only my side profile and went there to get it done, but all of them ended up crooked to one side just like me. Their nostrils are also uneven in a similar shape lol Since they all look similar, I’m pretty sure it’s not a ghost doctor or anything like that. I think they really do make the side profile line well.

They say the nose needs at least 3 surgeries, so I think I’ll have to start getting revision surgery soon, and I’m writing this while looking around for clinics. I’m not bashing the hospital. This is a real, honest review I paid for myself, written for public-interest purposes, so please use it as reference.
