Natural Adhesion Double Eyelid Surgery + Ptosis Correction, 1.5 Months In

I had natural adhesion double eyelid surgery + non-incisional ptosis correction, and it’s been about a month and a half. Before double eyelid surgery, when I looked for reviews, I saw reviews where the swelling went down really quickly, and I thought I’d be like that too. I thought that by around 2 weeks all the swelling would be gone, and by 1 month I’d look normal. That was completely my own misconception...

Even now, at a month and a half, when I look at my eyes, because of the swelling they look exactly like eyes that had double eyelid surgery, and I’ve given up on thoughts like, “It won’t be noticeable when I meet people now.” I can feel scar tissue on the inside, and the buried black thread shows through. The clinic said the thread showing through can last 3 months ㅠㅠ I look up reviews about swelling every day, and I end up focusing on reviews like, “Even after 1 year, the swelling keeps going down,” and “You have to hold out 6 months to look normal.” Because it comforts me.

Actually, I like my double eyelid line and I’m not too worried, but the long-lasting swelling, thread showing through, and scar tissue that I hadn’t thought about before surgery will last 3–6 months, and that’s ve~ry uncomfortable. Just sharing for those who have double eyelid surgery coming up.
