I got a lot of information from this community, so I’m writing this review in the hope that it might help even a little :)
First of all, I did like the shape of my chin tip. But as you can see in my pre-op photos, the problem was my cheekbones and the square jaw under my ears.
A more feminine-looking line is usually a slimmer, softer, oval-shaped face, and that tends to look feminine and pretty.
Before going around for consultations, I looked at cafes and apps, but there were really so many clinics. So after narrowing them down again and again, I went to consultations at exactly 4 places. I wasn’t sure whether going to a lot of places would really be that meaningful..ㅠ
I only had surgery on the areas I wanted to improve: my cheekbones and the square jaw under my ears.
For cheekbone surgery, I was worried about side effects such as cheek sagging, sounds coming from the cheekbone area? nonunion, and things like that.
For mandibular angle surgery under the ears, I was worried about what would happen if the bone was shaved unevenly or if both sides were shaved asymmetrically.
Fortunately, after having cheekbone and mandibular angle surgery, I’ve been doing really well without any side effects so far. I definitely think there are no side effects if the surgery is done properly :)
I think the director of the clinic I chose felt a little different from the consultation onward. Compared with the other three places, the director was of course kind, and while looking at the CT, he explained everything in so much detail and made it easy to understand. Honestly, we don’t really encounter medical terms often, so they can be a bit difficultㅠㅠ I was so grateful that even when I didn’t understand well, he didn’t show any reaction and just continued explaining kindly.
And after going to consultations, I found that some clinics gave the impression that the director was slightly forcing? the style they personally preferred, and some consultations were just short and kind of careless?
But the director at the clinic where I had surgery listened when I said what style I wanted, and performed the surgery customized to that. The result also turned out to be exactly the face shape I wanted, so I’m really satisfied. In the past, when I took photos, I used to Photoshop my face shape a lot, but now I almost never do. It feels so amazing and makes me really happy :)
