Four years ago, the year I turned twenty, before starting college, I went with a friend to Gangnam to get jaw Botox, thinking we should try doing something. The doctor was a woman, and during the consultation, she clearly told me that areas that could not be treated could not be done. At the time, I was like, “Aww ㅠ,” because she said no, but thinking back now, I think she was probably conscientious. I lay down on the procedure table, and she told me to tense the muscle. She checked carefully while giving the injections. I didn’t really know how much was injected or what kind was used, and somehow... this is just my guess, but I got the feeling that they might have been reusing leftover Botox solution. The nurse? kept putting the Botox in and taking it out of the refrigerator.
For me, there was no effect. If I told my friends first, they would say, “Huh? Maybe it looks a little slimmer?” but from what I could see, there was almost no effect.
I’ve had temporomandibular joint disorder since I was young, and I saw that Botox is also used as a treatment? for TMJ disorder, but it had no effect on my TMJ disorder either haha
