About 13? 14 years ago from now, I got double eyelid surgery I had inner double eyelids, but I wanted a deep, large double eyelid (At that time, a friend had gotten her nose done first. It was a pretty successful case, and there were rumors that that clinic was famous for eyes and noses) Back then, “shopping around” basically meant word of mouth & recommendations from acquaintances..? I guess I was just too lazy to look into it^^^ I went straight to the clinic my friend went to, had a consultation, and booked an appointment!!! It’s been so long that my memory is fuzzy, but I had epicanthoplasty + an inline double eyelid, done by incision (it was definitely incisional) It was my first cosmetic surgery and it was a long time ago, but what I still remember vividly is looking in the mirror after coming out of surgeryㅋㅋ My face was seriously a wreck^^
I had underestimated double eyelid surgery, but I felt that there is absolutely no surgery that should be taken lightly (I still vividly remember, even after the stitches were removed, straining while pooping and feeling like my eyes were about to burst) At first, I was happy, thinking it was a very successful surgery!! First of all, it was very natural, the scars healed better and better (almost unnoticeable), and the line was set nicely and appropriately!!!! But!!!! I remember it was probably before even 1 year had passed after the surgery, and suddenly one side of my double eyelid came undone...?(Like when you make a double eyelid with eyelid glue and it comes undone) What is going on...? I immediately went to the plastic surgery clinic where I had the surgery! Doctor!!!!
The doctor said that rather than doing only one side, we should redo both double eyelids together (It was incisional, so why did it come undone...?) I still wonder about it, but They said I could have surgery and leave that same day after the consultation (Excuse me...? You want me to go home with my post-surgery face, without even a hat or sunglasses...?) I said what are you talking about, scheduled a date, and ended up having revision surgery... This was the cause of my double eyelid failure!!!! I should never have gone back to the first clinic!! The revision result was.. First, they set the line a bit higher. I still like that now. I’m very satisfied with the line. But... the biggest problem is that the scar settled in very dark... It feels like the doctor made the line extremely strong so it would never come undone again. Along the double eyelid line, scars remained like needle stitch marks....ㅠㅠ - - - - - marks like this remained .. At 6 months after revision surgery, I went to the clinic!!!!! Doctor!!!!! But the doctor told me nonsense that the scar isn’t visible when I open my eyes, told me to trust him, and confidently insisted it would definitely disappear^^^
But now, 14 years later, the scar is still there^^ 2 years ago, the end of one double eyelid line felt like, how should I put it, it was coming undone? So I was going to have revision surgery, but for now I left it alone... Honestly, even now I want revision eye surgery, but I’m a bit scared to touch it carelessly... So I’m so jealous of people with pretty double eyelids... sigh^^ Should I just live like this... I worry about it every time. This must be why carefully checking many clinics is so important!!! Everyone, don’t ruin yours like I did, look around diligently and become prettier!!!!
