I had epicanthoplasty and double eyelid surgery (incisional) at a well-known plastic surgery clinic in Daejeon during winter break when I was 16, just before entering high school. It was winter break, so there were a lot of people, but I remember the consultation being very short. The consultation lasted not even 10 minutes, and the director seemed extremely busy. (I should have walked away then...) Still, it was famous and had good reviews, so I trusted them and went ahead.
But now, 5 years later, I still am not satisfied with my eyes. Right after the double eyelid surgery, the swelling would not go down at all and they looked sausage-like. They are not at that level anymore, but the epicanthoplasty left a scar and the double eyelids are uneven, so taking photos is very stressful. I hardly take selfies now..ㅠㅠ
Two of my friends also got double eyelid surgery at this clinic when they were middle school students, and all of them have very obvious surgical traces, and the epicanthoplasty was opened a bit too much. I really want to strongly discourage anyone who wants eye surgery there.
I need revision surgery, but maybe because I remember how hard it was, I'm scared to do it again. And from now on, for eye surgery... even if it's far, I'll do it in Seoul..!ㅎㅎ^^
