This is my revision posterior canthoplasty and my 3rd lower canthoplasty... Every hospital I went to, the directors turned me away saying there was no space, and at best they recommended things like ptosis correction, so after my last surgery, I honestly thought canthoplasty would never be possible for me and didn’t do it. But an older friend I know had a successful lower canthoplasty, and she said this director might do it for me, so I went for a consultation, booked it the same day, and today is day 4 after surgery!!!
Of course, there was no space for posterior canthoplasty, and the skin was already slightly lifted, so the director told me the conjunctiva might show. For other people, if the conjunctiva shows, it means it has flipped outward and is a side effect, but since I’ve already had canthoplasty several times, he said mine would roll inward. He said I might need entropion surgery after a month, but I should decide after seeing the progress. But I’m going to do it.. haha
For now, even though it’s intentionally slightly overcorrected, my eyes have gotten so much bigger ㅠㅠ Everyone was saying, “Was there really this much space?”.... I found out for the first time too.
It’s only day 4, so please keep in mind there is conjunctival edema and swelling when you look!
