These were eyes that had already had double eyelid surgery, but one side came undone a few years ago, so I kept debating whether to get revision surgery. Over time, it felt like the other side was coming undone too, so I got both sides done at once. I had incisional ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty together. Before that, I used to wear really heavy makeup to hide the loosened eye...ㅠㅠ But the faint line still showed.
The swelling went down well from the beginning, and I was also told that it would be hard to raise the line a lot and that I should get a lift, but I had not really considered a lift, so I said I would do upper canthoplasty instead.
After the stitches were removed, the swelling went down even more, so it was not uncomfortable when opening my eyes. I asked them to make sure the lines were not asymmetrical, but the swelling went down unevenly, so at first I do not think you should expect symmetryㅠ I think I started wearing makeup or lenses a little over 2 weeks later. I could not wait a month..ㅋㅋ
Even though it had only been one month after incision, I heard so many people say it looked natural. Even when I went around bare-faced without makeup, I was not stressed about my eyes at all and it was so comfortableㅠㅠㅠ
Since a lot of swelling had gone down from the beginning, I thought maybe it would not go down much more, but this is a photo from two months after.. Compared with the one-month photo above, the line has come down a bit. Still, I did not want an overly high line, so it is okay.. I like it. Now I just hope it does not come down much more from hereㅠㅠ
After the revision surgery, I only do a bit of mascara? I do not think I wear much makeup. My eyes look defined even without itㅋㅋㅋ
Just because it is done by incision does not mean the line will automatically be thick and unnatural, so do not worry too much, and if the doctor says it needs to be done by incision, do it by incision. For those who were recommended a lift, try bringing up upper canthoplasty too..ㅠ
