I had square jaw surgery at an oral and maxillofacial dental clinic in Gangnam, not a plastic surgery clinic. I went for consultations at plastic surgery clinics, but none of them really appealed to me, so I chose to do it safely at an oral and maxillofacial clinic. It was also a place recommended by the orthodontic clinic I had gone to, and above all, the doctor had a lot of experience and many people came there for revision surgery, so it felt trustworthy.
I originally planned to do my cheekbones too, but after the consultation, I decided to only do the square jaw that had been stressing me out so much. When I asked them to shave a lot, they said no, that my face shape would become like Yoo Jae-suk's, and when I brought in celebrity photos, they firmly said it couldn't be done lolololㅠ My bones are big, but my muscles are also really large, so they honestly told me it would be even better if I got Botox after surgery. During the consultation, they told me everything: the things I was curious about, possible side effects, how other hospitals do it this way, and why they personally operate this way because of certain reasons.
After surgery, aside from yellow bruising, I didn't have any major bruises! The only thing I felt was lacking was that because it's an oral and maxillofacial clinic, there isn't much aftercare.
I like that the surgery seems to have turned out very natural, and honestly, if I don't say anything, it's barely noticeable. I've gone from a square to a circle now, so I'm so happy. For people who want to safely get rid of only their complex, I also recommend going to an oral and maxillofacial clinic.
Now I need to go get Botox, but I'm really torn about where to goㅠㅠ
