I had always been self-conscious about my broad face and square jaw. Even when I lost weight, my facial shape stayed the same, so I thought I would eventually need contouring surgery.
At first, I was considering two-part contouring and visited several clinics for consultations. Dr. Kwon Jae-hyun at Soda Plastic Surgery said that because my jaw was relatively long, three-part contouring would suit me better than two-part contouring. The doctor explained in detail why three procedures were needed for my face, which made me trust them. Looking back, choosing three-part contouring really was the best decision, lol.
I first learned about Soda Plastic Surgery through the director’s YouTube videos, and among the clinics I visited, their consultation was the most detailed and personalized. They compared before-and-after photos with me, and I also liked that there was one director in charge. I decided that even if it was expensive, I should choose a place that does things well.
Recovery after surgery was better than I expected! During the first week, I mainly had New Care nutrition drinks and porridge, and only took short walks at night. From around week three, I could eat regular meals. The swelling also went down faster than expected, so I enjoyed looking at my face every day, haha.
I am now three months post-op. With my jaw shortened, my face looks much more refined and the facial lines are cleaner. People around me often say I look like I lost weight or became prettier, so my satisfaction is high.
Comparing the before-and-after photos, I especially like seeing that both jawlines were aligned symmetrically. Even if I went back in time, I would choose surgery 1,000 percent, lol. I deliberated for five years, but deliberation only delays the time you become prettier…😭
