Review of Non-Silicone Surgery for an Upturned Nose

A short, upturned nose had been a lifelong source of stress for me. I avoided having my picture taken and people seeing my profile, so I decided on rhinoplasty and visited Yerom Plastic Surgery in February 2025. I wanted the result to be as natural as possible with fewer complications. I had heard the rumor that rhinoplasty must be redone after 10 years, so I wanted a safe procedure that would avoid a second surgery. Many clinics recommended either costal cartilage or silicone, but Yerom was the only one that recommended no silicone. They explained that, considering my skin condition and nose size, silicone would look increasingly unnatural over time. I also liked that they carefully considered the future rather than focusing only on the immediate aesthetic result. I therefore had surgery using a method that lowered only the tip without silicone. They also corrected a slight dorsal hump. Lowering the tip refined the line and blended well with my existing nasal bridge. Before and after surgery, Director Na Min-hwa carefully checked my condition and progress. I had seen many reviews describing severe bruising and swelling after eye and nose surgery, but the surgery was performed very delicately with minimal tissue damage, just as explained, so the swelling and bruising were truly mild. I liked this very much too. I also had medial canthoplasty together with the nose surgery.
