It has already been 9 years since my double eyelid surgery, and to get to the point first, I’m completely satisfied. Because I had incisional surgery, it was obvious at first that I’d had my eyes done, but now no one knows unless I say so. People think I naturally have deep double eyelids, haha. I had it done when I was too young, so I didn’t have much information at all, and back then the TV program Let Me In was really popular, so I saw it there, looked it up on Naver too, and went straight to that hospital. For something like that, it turned out very well, so I’m satisfied. Even the initial swelling was minimal for an incisional procedure, and what was really surprising was that the swelling kept going down for years. I didn’t even realize it was swelling, but it kept decreasing, so it wasn’t that the double eyelid line was getting thinner or anything; the unique “puffy” feeling you get after incisional surgery just disappeared. That kept surprising me. I’ve heard of people saying it came undone even after incisional surgery, but mine has never loosened, and even when I had forehead filler and Botox, it was fine. When I cry and my eyes get all puffy, I just look like someone who had double eyelid surgery and left the operating room, like a sausage, but the fold itself doesn’t come undone. It’s very strong, lol. I’m satisfied. It was the first surgery of my life, and there were far more good points than side effects, so if I could go back to then, I’d do it again. Oh, and during the surgery, the local anesthesia wore off partway through, and I could feel the stitches being sewn, so I said it hurt and they gave me anesthesia right away. Other than that, it didn’t hurt at all. I just smelled burning, haha.
