I went around to 4 places for consultations because I wanted under-eye fat repositioning, and I had it done at one place. I'm on day 10 now, and before the surgery, I saw so many comments saying this is a simple surgery with high satisfaction and that swelling doesn't really happen (especially in a certain community).
In conclusion, "I had surgery on Friday and went to work on Monday." That kind of talk is total nonsense, so don't listen to it, yep.
They say swelling and bruising vary by person, but a surgery where they flip your eyeball area, cut it open, and poke around is not that simple, and the swelling is no joke either.
Since the surgery, I've been swollen into the ugliest face of my life lol I'm still not fully recovered, and there is also a change in my eye shape, but they said everything will get better and return, so I'm trying to worry less, though deep down I am anxious.
The conclusion is: after surgery, don't schedule anything for 2 weeks, and think of it as a time to focus only on recovery. You can go about daily life during that time, but if you don't want anyone to notice even a little how bad you look, then no plans!
