In my early to mid-20s, I had incision double-eyelid surgery, epicanthoplasty, and lower eyelid fat repositioning. My double eyelids have loosened here and there over the past 10 years, but overall I think they turned out pretty well. But the line is uneven, and the epicanthoplasty is uneven too.. More than anything, at such a young age in my early to mid-20s, I had lower eyelid surgery that is usually done in one’s 40s or 50s, where they cut through the lower eyelid skin and even cut the smile muscles, and I’ve been living for more than 10 years with one side having no smile line. No matter which hospital I went to, even specialty revision clinics in Gangnam, they all said it couldn’t be fixed. How many times have I gone out after hearing only comments like, “There’s really a doctor who performs surgery like this”... I guess I’ll have to live my whole life with one side having no cheek fat. I blame myself for trusting blindly, and I blame the doctor’s ignorance too. I wonder how you’re doing, Director Lee Won-taek.
