If you have absolutely no intention of surgery = then double-eyelid tape or glue is ok,, But if you have even a little intention of getting surgery someday = then just stop doing it from now on

Made Young // a fairly large clinic with many doctors (it may be better to choose one before the consultation) This is a clinic I visited because the review photos made it look like they do eye surgery naturally. There were a lot of people, and maybe because of that, I waited quite a while.. I had made a reservation, so that part was disappointing. Looking at the reviews, it seemed like most first surgeries were buried sutures or natural adhesion, but after the consultation, when I told the director that I had used double-eyelid tape for half a year and that when I’m tired it forms something like multiple double-eyelid folds, he recommended incision. Or he said buried sutures with ptosis correction was also one option. He mostly designed the line naturally, but said making it too dramatic for my eye shape probably wouldn’t suit me. He checked all the space for canthoplasty, and from his view, even if I did lateral and lower canthoplasty together, my eyes would look pretty without conjunctival edema. I liked the line the director designed, and it didn’t feel excessive, so I was tempted too, but I was also secretly worried whether doing all these procedures would make the recovery period longer. Maybe because ptosis correction and canthoplasty were also recommended, the price was a bit higher than what I had seen during the event, but overall the line he designed was natural and well done, so I think it wasn’t bad.
Olo // only one doctor This is a place I went to after seeing reviews in this community, and likewise I felt they were good at natural double-eyelid surgery with canthoplasty, so I went for a consultation. I thought I would definitely have to wait because there were a lot of people, but thankfully the consultation started within 5 minutes. The director watched me open and close my eyes, explained in detail the need for ptosis correction, and while designing the line, explained how my eye shape would change if canthoplasty was added. He said if I wanted a completely hidden double eyelid, non-incisional would be fine too, but since my eyelids are somewhat stretched now and the line I want is in-out, he recommended incision. He said that doing incision doesn’t necessarily mean scars or incision lines will be clearly left. At that time, the director said it very confidently. He said canthoplasty is possible if I want it, but rather than lateral and lower canthoplasty, he recommended epicanthoplasty or upper canthoplasty, and even if done, he said it would be done mildly. I also liked that he pointed out specifically that lateral and lower canthoplasty would make my eye shape look gentler, and asked if that wouldn’t move away from the image I wanted. He said that if I had surgery by incision, there would be no need for ptosis correction, and that I could take more time to think about canthoplasty. But in the end, the director recommended epicanthoplasty with an incisional double-eyelid line.
Unintentionally, after consulting at both a private clinic and a large clinic, I think the system and the clinic atmosphere at the private clinic suited me better,, a less hectic feeling? This is really a matter of preference, so everyone, don’t just listen to other people and think, “I should only look into that place~” Go to consultations at both types like I did.
I’ve already had the surgery, so I don’t know how helpful this consultation review will be, but since I used double-eyelid tape thinking too casually,, if anyone who is currently shopping around for double-eyelid surgery is still using double-eyelid tape or glue, I want to tell you to stop using it now,,
Or at least take good care with your cleansing method! When you put on double-eyelid tape and remove it, it gets really sticky, right? I used to rip it off roughly with my hands just because removing it was annoying, and I think my eyelids stretched even more because of that,, I don’t regret getting incisional surgery, but I do wonder what it would have been like if I had taken good care from the beginning and gotten non-incisional surgery,, I hope everyone also visits several places and shops around carefully!
