Had surgery at The Standard of Contouring

Before-before-after-after I’m someone who had one type of square jaw surgery at The Standard of Contouring 2 weeks ago!

I’d like to describe my 2-week progress according to the outline below, so I hope reading the parts you need/are curious about helps with sharing information.

* Outline 1. Recovery period and swelling care 2. Why I chose The Standard of Contouring (what made me decide on the clinic before surgery) 3. 3. Small tips (swelling care for older people, contouring while in orthodontic treatment)

*Body 1. Recovery period and swelling care My age at the time of surgery was 28 (born in 1997. Not international age). I think the recovery period differs depending on age. I’ll describe the recovery process below. (1) Recovery period - Day 1: Didn’t swell. I think the director was skilled and achieved hemostasis well. - Days 2-6: They say swelling is usually max on day 3, but I swelled until day 6. I went through some emotional distress - After day 7: The swelling suddenly went down well. It didn’t hurt either. I think the really severe emotional distress lasts exactly one week.

(2) Swelling care - Received Heal Light 5 times? provided by the clinic (thank you for not making me feel self-conscious even though I went often) - Walked 3-5 hours a day - Took Danggui Sini San, New Vein, Tripline tablets, etc. separately after taking the hospital medication (sold at the pharmacy in the basement of the building)

2. Why I chose The Standard of Contouring (what made me decide on the clinic before surgery) (1) Long and detailed consultation - Other clinics had only long waits, and the director consultation ended within 3 minutes - Director Oh Jung-seok + the consultant took the consultation seriously for over 30 minutes- I watched a lot of weird things on YouTube before going and asked many difficult questions. They probably could have been put on the spot by a non-major’s superficial knowledge, but they listened to the end.

(2) Respect for subjective beauty standards - Personally, my face was round from the front and my lower face was bulky, but from both physiognomic and aesthetic perspectives, I wanted a side-profile effect more than a front-view effect. Other directors emphasized that the front view had to be slim. In contrast, Director Oh Jung-seok respected my personal beauty standards.

(3) Additional services (aftercare, staff kindness, timely event pricing, etc.)- Unlimited swelling laser - Everyone was kind - In my case it was an opening event, so later event prices may change upward, but at least this is not a clinic where the event price and the actual quote are different.

3. Small tips (swelling care for older people, contouring for people in orthodontic treatment, compression band) -Swelling care (1) Walk a lot (2) Take the hospital medication properly and also take swelling medication well (3) No facial massage; do some massages that help circulation, like décolleté massage. (Gently, please. What if you do it hard and get inflammation?) (4) Sleep sitting up

- Contouring for people in orthodontic treatment (1) If you overdo the compression band, the very swollen tissue can move upward and get tangled with the intraoral stitches and orthodontic appliance. (Because of that, I had my stitches tidied up and went to have them re-sutured behind my teeth) (2) Rather than irritating the inside of your mouth trying to remove things stuck in the orthodontic appliance, just stay on a liquid diet longer.... I didn’t even eat porridge because I was afraid rice grains would get stuck, and only drank protein shakes (3) If you want to eat fruit, something like gold kiwi is okay.... Mash it with the roof of your mouth and eat it

- Compression band (1) If your ears are naturally set low, the compression band really hurts... Trim it a bit with scissors and wear it so it fits your ears (2) If you want to legally take off the compression band, (since they said not to wear the compression band when moving) ---> go for a walk (3) Even if the compression band hurt too much and you couldn’t wear it? It’s okay. Apparently, in the early postoperative period, its meaning is to prevent swelling by blocking the movement of tissue fluid, so even if you really can’t do it, it’s okay. I looked it up and it has nothing to do with sagging. I also couldn’t wear the compression band properly at first, but I think my swelling still went down not too badly.

I’ll bring a one-month review 2 weeks later~~! They don’t pressure you into other surgeries, the consultant is kind, and the director’s skill is good. <The Standard of Contouring> really lives up to its name. I recommend it!!!
