I went to ㅇㅂㅇㅇ and ㄱㄹ, and I was told about inframammary incision for my case, but because of the scar area, I still have not decided on surgery yet. Still, to earn points and share information, I will briefly organize and write down the details.
Both are private clinics, so I did not write the directors’ names. Please keep that in mind.
ㅇㅂㅇㅇ -I recommend bringing your ultrasound CD. They have a separate breast surgery department, but I heard the wait for consultation is long, so I brought mine in advance too. There were really many people at the clinic, and the staff looked busy, but they were still not unfriendly. -The director was gentle and kind. When he saw that I had brought my ultrasound, he told me to lie down and personally did another ultrasound for me. He said it was capsular contracture and the capsule condition was not good, but there did not seem to be any rupture. He said it would probably be fine to remove the entire capsule and replace the implant, and the incision would be at the inframammary fold. For implants, he recommended Motiva more than Mentor. Recommended cc was 320-340 cc. -This place has fixed prices and discloses its fee table, so even if you ask by KakaoTalk, they send the full fee table, you know? If anyone here is curious about the cost right away but does not have time to go for a consultation, it may be good to ask by KakaoTalk.
ㄱㄹ -I had the ultrasound done directly here. (I went to ㄱㄹ first, then ㅇㅂㅇㅇ.) The director personally checked it, and aside from visiting patients, it was not very crowded. The staff respond very warmly, and the consultant is really kind! -As I had read in reviews beforehand, the consultation with the director was short. He told me about the current condition of my capsule based on the ultrasound, recommended an inframammary fold incision and Motiva, and for cc, the maximum was 335, while the clinic’s recommendation was 315.
Aftercare was well set up at both places, and I think it would be better to go directly to their websites and check what types they have rather than me explaining it! However, ㄱㄹ had unlimited aftercare. I did not hear that ㅇㅂㅇㅇ was unlimited.
To briefly talk about my psychological state after the consultations.. Still, they said my condition was not extremely severe and that I just need capsule removal and implant replacement.. But after it ended, I was taking the subway home and felt extremely depressed. When I think about why I decided to have breast surgery in the first place, I cannot even remember, and my breasts, distorted from capsular contracture, are not pretty. I just want to get everything removed quickly, but if I do removal, I do not have the confidence to live with a flat chest. I really felt frustrated with myself too because I do not know what I want. And my first surgery was through the axillary incision.. so I also feel a big burden about having to make another scar in a different place with an inframammary incision. That is how it is.
There must be others here looking into revision surgery too, right? I hope you get satisfying results through a choice made for yourself! I do not know what I will do, but if I decide on surgery, I will come back to update you again. I hope this helps someone who is worrying about revision surgery.
