I noticed people who are over 1 year post-facelift do not really write reviews.. It seems like only people who had side effects write reviews, so I’m writing my own 1-year facelift review~ 1) Reason for surgery I had a reality check while watching celebrities on TV.. That was the biggest reason. A certain celebrity was talking about how much they invest in their looks and said maintenance is everything~ so I looked it up.. and that celebrity had apparently had a facelift too. Well, it’s just hearsay.. so I’m not sure. But seeing things like that made me have a reality check about myself, and I decided to get surgery. In particular, I felt the biggest reality check from my nasolabial folds and collapsing jawline… This was my face before surgery.. (Only showing part of it in case someone recognizes me..)
2) Side effects, pain At first, the hardness in my face and the numbness were the hardest parts. There was less pain than I expected, but I kept feeling a bit uncomfortable. And since the muscles had been pulled, opening my mouth was a little uncomfortable, so eating was honestly a bit difficult for about a month, and I lost weight quickly then. Looking back now, that may have been what started my diet..~ My sensation all came back after 3 months. That period is tough.. but I think it is the same for everyone. Still, I trusted the hospital I chose, and I trusted Director ㅂㅈㅎ who performed my surgery.. The counseling manager who checked my progress whenever I visited the hospital in between was also helpful.
3) 1-year review Now that it has been 1 year since surgery, I have forgotten all the difficult parts of the surgical process and I’m so happy. The biggest changes are that my nasolabial folds, collapsed jawline, and the lines drawn across my cheeks have mostly disappeared. I’m.. over 50, but people tell me I look like I’m in my early 40s~ As I got older, my cheekbones looked more and more prominent and jowls appeared, but I realized it was not because my bones had developed more, but because the fat in my face sagged due to gravity~ After surgery, hearing that I had become prettier also made me go to dermatology clinics for more care and lose more weight.
I hope this helps those who are considering a facelift,, Since facelift results create slightly different facial impressions depending on the hospital, I hope you choose a hospital that pursues natural beauty.. (For me, becoming a natural beauty was my top priority, so I did not prefer the unnaturally over-rejuvenated Gangnam-style beauty look.) I’ll wrap up my review here~ One thing I feel is that this surgery is better to do even just one year earlier.. When looking up facelift reviews, there are many people who say it looks too unnatural or that they did not look rejuvenated enough… but if you meet a director whose aesthetic standards match what you want, I think you have fewer regrets~
