I was bothered by having pins at the tip of my chin, so I had been thinking about removing them from the beginning. Originally, I planned to have them removed at the clinic where I had the surgery, but during consultation they quoted a flexible price, and because I had experienced paying much more money for the exact same surgery (the price seems to change depending on the consultant; my acquaintance was given a different price), I lost trust and was looking into other hospitals.
While searching for pin removal, I found Yungwakui Jeongseok. The director happened to have excellent credentials and was running an event, so I booked without hesitation. I went thinking the low price was a temporary promotion because it was a newly opened hospital, and they really did say they were holding an event because they had just opened.
The person who did the consultation, the person who guided me, and all the hospital staff were extremely kind, so I felt good. They explained things in great detail, and the director also explained everything very thoroughly and reassuringly. I thought I made the right choice coming here.
It was done under sedation anesthesia. They told me pin removal would take 5-10 minutes, and the first time I actually woke up after the surgery was probably about 30 minutes later. However, since I had come to the hospital after barely sleeping that day, I was so, so sleepy that I slept for about two more hours before getting up.
Contrary to what I expected, there was almost no pain at all, and on the first day after pin removal there was almost no swelling. They put tape on my chin, so I slept with it on, and I felt the compression tape was helping a lot. The next day, the swelling was only about the level of having eaten ramen before sleeping. I had been worried about swelling, but after actually having the surgery, it was not at a level to worry about, and the incision line was sutured cleanly. I am very satisfied.
The hospital is very honest, with no extra charges, and I trust them, so if I have surgery elsewhere later, personally, I think I would look for the director again.
