This is my story of getting side effects after Botox at MMDL Dermatology in Cheonho.
Originally, the treatment area was the neck line. After treating the neck line, the doctor went “hmm~” and then suddenly, without saying anything, stuck the injection into my nasolabial folds. After finishing all the injections, they said, “I’ll inject here too.” Then they went “hmm~” again and, at the same time as saying they would inject the anterior chin too, stuck the needle in.
The problem is that I had always thought I should absolutely never get Botox in the nasolabial folds or anterior chin. I avoided the nasolabial folds because I was afraid it would look unnatural, and I avoided the anterior chin because I had gotten it there before and my facial expressions looked so awkward.
Sure enough, after one week, side effects came in the anterior chin area. Maybe because I also got it in the nasolabial folds, my smile became awkward too. Now, 3-4 months later, about 80 percent has returned, but I suffered so much that I really wanted to sue.
Isn’t it medical malpractice for a doctor to perform a procedure on me however they want without even asking me,, If it had turned out well, I would not even say anything, but on top of that, I got side effectsㅡㅡ From now on, I must make sure to tell the doctor to do only the areas I want. Isn’t that too basic? Sigh
