Nose Re-Surgery

Nose surgery D+12 progress! I’m really, really satisfied

Hi, before surgery I had a complex about my short nose… because I didn’t have much columella Depending on the angle, it looked really, really, really unattractive.

I didn’t think that just putting Karina’s or Shin Se-kyung’s nose on my face would suddenly make me look like them, so during the consultation I focused more on a natural line. (I said not completely natural, but somewhere between natural and naturally glamorous, because I couldn’t really picture it, hahat) And the raw consultation photos taken at the plastic surgery clinic also played a part in that decision The photos came out so ugly

The wish photos I showed them on the last day were Suzy’s and Song Hye-kyo’s noses! I had no idea what kind of line would suit me, so I just showed them female celebrities with rounded nasal tips that I thought looked natural Right before surgery, the clinic said they would print out 2 photos for me, and I chose photos where the nose looked more rounded rather than looking high, then went in!

During the pre-op consultation, they said my current nose was still on the pretty side, that it wasn’t a bad nose to begin with, that the result would come out well, and that they would make a nice straight-with-slight-curve line, so I trusted them and went into the operating room. They didn’t seem to have any intention of making it excessive, so I felt reassured, and I just thought that if my short nose was corrected well, this surgery would be a success.

And now it’s day 12 after surgery. At first, the swelling between my brows was insane.. So it looked totally like an Avatar nose, and my nose had become so~~ long that I thought I had lost my original image too. I was upset, so I hadn’t even written a review of the hospital where I had surgery on a hospital review app But once the swelling went down a bit, wow, I like it so much.

As the line shape and columella were adjusted, the nasolabial angle? seems to have been set amazingly well. Honestly, I’m moved.. I was always upset about my square jaw (to put it nicely, a noble-looking jaw), and it was a complex, so I was always worrying about whether I should get correction or facial contouring. But now my face looks more three-dimensional, so even my jawline looks okay. I have that sparrow-like mouth, a bit like NewJeans Minji, where the upper lip covers the lower lip, and before, to me it just looked like mouth protrusion, but that has also been adjusted amazingly well. Even the nasolabial folds beside my lips (I’ve had them since birth) don’t stand out much, so I’m very satisfied!

If there’s one thing I’m disappointed about, my radix height used to be about 2.5~3 mm, and I understand they raised it by about 1 mm more, so it became 3.5~4 mm. It’s not like it got dramatically higher, but right now because of the swelling, it looks like it got a lot higher (probably?), so I think the three-dimensionality will decrease more from here. That’s a shame. Maybe I should have shown them photos of high noses like Shin Se-kyung’s or Karina’s at the very beginning…

I heard they either didn’t raise the nasal tip compared to before, or raised it only about 1 mm? Still, since the line changed so beautifully, I believe it’ll still be pretty enough even if it gets a bit lower! And right now the nasal tip is quite swollen and pointy, so I’m expecting that to improve too!

There’s no obligation to write progress updates in this community, but I’m just posting one anyway For follow-up, it’s a place where you only see the doctor once at the 2-week mark, and the aftercare seemed a bit lacking compared to other places, so during the first week after surgery I felt pretty lost and worried a lot. I even had a cold until the day of surgery, coughing and having phlegm, it was chaos… In the early stage after surgery, I kept coughing and coughing… But today, D+12, I’m truly.. super, super, super satisfied! There was almost no swelling, bruising, or bleeding either

Anyway, this community helped me a lot during an anxious time, so I’m posting this in the spirit of sharing! Thanks for reading
