Before<Before double-eyelid surgery>Before<Before double-eyelid surgery>After<After double-eyelid surgery>After<Because it was natural adhesion, the line is almost not obvious>Hello everyone! After looking into double-eyelid surgery in every possible way, it has now been over two months, and I feel the line has settled to some extent and I’ve entered a stable stage, so I’m writing a review. I also joined this community because I wanted to get double-eyelid surgery, and after going around to consultations here and there, I felt this: there are really so many plastic surgery clinics in Korea, lol. Even just in Gangnam, they are packed everywhere, so I think finding a clinic that matches even my aesthetic sense is really difficult. I’m posting this because I think my review might help even one person.
I don’t know if you can see it in the photos, but my skin is on the thin side, so I often used to get multiple double-eyelid folds in daily life. So even if I got double-eyelid surgery, I definitely wanted a non-incisional method, and I wasn’t really thinking about canthoplasty, so when I went around to several places for consultations, I think I naturally excluded the places that recommended canthoplasty. Same with ptosis correction! If you have a clear determination about which surgery you want, it will help a little when filtering and narrowing down clinics. Even if you usually have trouble making decisions, let’s be level-headed at least when choosing a clinic for plastic surgery
Anyway, among the places I visited, I ended up having surgery at a clinic that honestly told me my eyes did not need canthoplasty, and that double-eyelid surgery was something I was doing because I felt I needed it, while canthoplasty was optional, so if I didn’t want it, I didn’t have to do it. In terms of cost, it felt the most reasonable, and I liked that I could get the surgery with the natural adhesion method I wanted!! The doctor drew various lines, including semi-out, in-out, and out-line, and the in-out felt a bit plain, so I decided to go with the semi-out line I had wanted from the beginning. Thankfully, the doctor also said this line suited my eyes the best. I was able to have surgery with natural adhesion only, without adding any other procedures at all.
Still, since it was double-eyelid surgery, I honestly thought I would have severe swelling for a week, you know? But I think natural adhesion is truly a surgical method that doesn’t cause much swelling or bruising. The major swelling all went down within the first week (I didn’t have much bruising from the start either), and it didn’t have that “anyone can tell I had double-eyelid surgery” feeling, so from then on, I wore makeup, met friends, made plans, and went out to have fun haha (of course I avoided alcohol!)
Since the major swelling went down quickly, I thought the residual swelling would go down quickly too, but because I look at my own eyes every day, I couldn’t feel the difference much. People around me kept saying every time they saw me that the swelling was going down day by day, and that it was fascinating. Kids who were also looking into double-eyelid surgery like me asked where I got it done and took the information too, haha. The information I got was from searching hard in this community and going to consultations myself, but..... since I learned good things should be shared, I just told them everything!
Doesn’t the mood look completely different from before just because one double-eyelid line became defined? I didn’t do any canthoplasty or ptosis correction, but my eyes look much more glamorous than before, so I’m really satisfied. I think I did a hundred times well not doing things like canthoplasty back then.. There’s a saying that too much plastic surgery can be worse than too little, so I hope everyone also goes to consultations at several places and carefully decides while asking yourself hundreds of times, “Is this really the right surgery for me?”
This review is for a procedure pursuing a glamorous look.
