First of all, what I want to say is that I'm glad I did it??
I naturally had double eyelids, and one eyelid was droopier, you know?
When looking at selfies taken while staring straight ahead, one side is a bit lower.
But after getting ptosis correction, it feels like my eyes went back to how they were before they started drooping.
That's how natural it is, at least to me.
If anything, it's so natural that I almost feel a bit disappointed? hahahaha
They said I tend to bruise and swell quite badly.
During surgery, there was quite a bit of bleeding in my left eye.
After reading the instructions, whether it was 10 days before or a week before, I really stopped taking all vitamins, supplements, hair-loss medication, everything,
and still had the surgery, but there was more bleeding than expected, so even during the surgery, the doctor kept asking,
"Have you taken anything recently?" ..
Also, my skin is really thin, so even the doctor was a little surprised, and during surgery he immediately gave me one swelling injection.
Five days later, when I went to have the stitches removed, my hair was seriously greasy and my face was slick with oil.
Because the eyes are so important to a person's impression, I really wanted this to go well, so until 5 days after the surgery, I never slept lying down. You know those IKEA chairs, the ones reclined at a 45-degree angle?
I slept there.
When I went to the hospital to have the stitches removed, it actually didn't hurt, and the doctor told me to get a bruise laser treatment before leaving,
so I got it and came back.
I got my stitches removed on Thursday, endured it with gritted teeth, and showered from Monday morning.
For about 2 weeks, I think I should avoid bending forward to wash my hair, so I shampoo while showering in the morning.
But maybe because water brushed against the surgical area, a small bit of conjunctival edema formed near the end of the surgical site on the right side... so I asked the plastic surgery clinic,
and they said it's a symptom that can commonly appear. I got an ointment prescription from an ophthalmology clinic,
and after applying it once or twice, it seems to be calming down quickly.
What can I do, my eyes have to adapt too hahaha
I really hope this week and next week pass quickly.
The deep blue bruising I worried about early on is disappearing very quickly,
but the swelling... still has a long way to go!
I'm scheduled to go to the hospital at the end of August to check the progress, and I hope it turns out well.
I do like the line they made for me, but there is something about the ptosis correction part that feels a little ambiguous and bothers me.
If the doctor judges that I need aftercare/revision, I'm fully willing to receive it.
If the doctor says it's fine, then I guess it's fine.
I'm checking the surgical area in the mirror every single day anyway hahaha
It would have been a big problem if the line had been set wrong, but thankfully it really seems like the line was set well.
I'll write again after 2 weeks or after visiting the hospital.
