3 years ago, I had double eyelid surgery with the buried suture method to make an in-out line, but maybe because of the eyelid skin, everything got buried and the line didn’t look high, so I went consultation-hopping for revision surgery.... ㅌㅂ - near Sinsa Station, consultation time 20-30 minutes During the consultation, I showed the director photos of the eyes I wanted and they said that because the eye structure in the photo and mine are different, it can’t come out perfectly identical While holding an in-out line for me, they said the person in the photo I showed seemed to have thin skin, but I have a lot of eyelid skin and my skin isn’t on the thin side, so if the line is not made completely natural and is raised even just a little, the double eyelid could look thick They also had me open my eyes while looking in the mirror, and said there was a big difference in how I use the muscles around my forehead to eyebrows when I open my eyes unconsciously versus consciously So they recommended getting ptosis correction together too They said the buried suture method has a higher chance of loosening than incision, and because of my eye fat, I should do incision Since my upper eyelid is currently covering the double eyelid line, they said the line needs to be raised while making a skin incision They said raising a line is originally much easier than lowering one, so my eyes aren’t an extreme case There was no consultation fee, and I was a bit surprised because the price for revision surgery + incision + ptosis correction was much higher than I expected....
ㅇㄹ - near Apgujeong, consultation time 30-40 minutes The director first listened to why I wanted revision surgery, then looked at my eye structure and explained They said the space between my eyes and eyebrows is not exactly generous, but it’s also not so lacking in tissue laxity that incision is completely impossible, so I could consider both incision and non-incision From the director’s view, the line itself is already set too low They held various double eyelid lines for me, in-out, semi-out, and out, but when I looked in the mirror.... from semi-out onward it looked too greasy, so I said I definitely wanted in-out The director also said in-out was the most suitable for my eye shape Since the previous hospital recommended ptosis correction, I asked about that too, but here they said there was no need for ptosis correction! Still, because of my eye fat, they recommended revision surgery with incision rather than non-incision While I was hearing the explanation, I asked whether canthoplasty was possible too, and they said my outer eye corners are droopy and, looking at my eye structure, I don’t have much room for canthoplasty, so they do not recommend lateral canthoplasty or lower canthoplasty. But if I still want it, they said upper canthoplasty would be the best option And because it’s revision surgery and would be done by incision, I said I was worried about swelling They confidently said the revision surgery itself wouldn’t be excessive for my eye condition in the first place, and that if I consistently get post-op swelling laser treatments, recovery would be fast, so I think I felt a bit relieved There was no consultation fee here either, and I was diagnosed with only revision surgery + incision!
ㅇㄴ - near Sinnonhyeon, consultation time 30-40 minutes Here too, I explained how I wanted my revision surgery done and they told me, in a kind of reassuring way, that raising a low-set double eyelid is not very difficult But they said they need to see whether the line came down because the swelling went down or whether the line was made thin from the beginning before doing revision surgery The director said that, considering I had supposedly gotten my first surgery with an in-out line, the line looked low from the start They said non-incision surgeries like buried suture and natural adhesion are most suitable for a first surgery or when the skin is thin Since this is revision surgery for me and I’m changing the line upward, they said incision is needed for adhesion formation to happen well And here too, they said the distance between my eyebrows and eyes is not so narrow that incision would be impossible, so I don’t need to worry too much about doing revision surgery with incision Here, I did like all the lines the director held for me, but before seeing the director, the consultant first told me my eyes need this and that.... it felt like she had already made the diagnosis and the director was backing up the explanation, so I think it may not suit people who don’t like that... There was no consultation fee, and I was recommended revision surgery + incision
Since it’s revision surgery, I had a lot to think about even after going to the consultations, but now that I’ve written this consultation-hopping review, my thoughts are organized and I think I can decide now..... I have a family trip in October, so I’m going to hurry and make a reservation before then and get the revision surgery I hope everyone going consultation-hopping hangs in there!
