I went to ㅂㄹㅇ to get my cheekbones done, which had been my biggest complex, and it’s already been over a yearㅋㅋㅋ Since my body is generally on the elastic side, to start with the conclusion, I had none of the typical side effects like uneven contours or sagging skin (deep cheek fat?) at all. Please keep that in mind!! But I don’t know what will happen when I get older.

I think there are plenty of other people who have written detailed reviews about the hospital facilities, process, surgical review, and so on, so I’ll write based on my current state after 1 year! If you leave any other questions in the comments, I’ll answer!
1. Swelling, facial condition. (+Uncomfortable points right after surgery:) Of course, I was anxious about sagging skin too. Right after the surgery, because of the dissection? I guess that’s what you’d call it. When I ran or rode an electric scooter, I felt my cheekbone-area flesh shaking a lot, so I think I used to force a smile behind my mask and hold the cheekbone area tightly so it wouldn’t move..ㅋㅋ Maybe that sounds a bit bizarre. If I didn’t, the flesh kept shaking and it hurtㅠㅠ But I think that helped a lot. The skin didn’t sag, and now it has settled properly, so at this point I don’t even notice it.
As I mentioned earlier, my skin itself has good elasticity, so I didn’t really have sagging, and even before surgery, the amount of swelling from sleeping or eating salty food the day before was minimal. But after surgery, you definitely swell a lot. It swelled up like a soccer ball and would go down when I was upright, but it swelled a lot when I was lying down. Please keep this in mind if you have a body type similar to mine!
Now, it doesn’t hurt even if I run hard, and except for swelling easily, I’m very satisfied.
2. Scars. The cheekbone surgery was done through the sideburn area and inside the mouth. But when was it, about a week later or two weeks later, don’t they tell you to come get the stitches removed? I remember going a week later than that and getting scolded by the nurseㅠㅠ She said that if stitches are removed late, scars can be more visible and infection can occur, but above all, since the thread had already healed into the skin, getting the stitches removed seriously hurt like crazy...(tears) She said she had never seen such a brave patient who didn’t manage things properly..ㅋㅋ I’m sorry.. Anyway, even after going through that situation, the scar is hidden in my hair now, and I can’t even feel it or see it anymore.
3. Sensation. At first, I guess it was the feeling of the nerves coming back, with tingling, and by almost 6 months most of the sensation came back. But that area close to the scalp, how should I put it, the spot where they placed the outermost pin? Sorry, I’m explaining this so badly.. That spot recovered a bit more slowly than the others. The skin sensation had returned, but it felt like the inner flesh had no sensation? But it didn’t interfere with daily life at all, and now it’s fully recovered!
4. Awkward expressions? Before surgery, I heard a lot that because they shave the bone, dissect the muscle, and so on, smiling or making expressions would look artificial. But now? No problem at all; Maybe it’s even more so because my skin quality is good. But I have no issues making facial expressions, no muscles not moving, no awkwardness at all. Since I haven’t had double eyelid surgery or my nose done, and only touched my cheekbones, I think it may also be because my face has taken less damage.
5. What was hard. No, I asked all my acquaintances around me who had plastic surgery, and I’m really curious whether I was the only one like this. After surgery, I wanted to throw up so badly. Seriously, what is thisㅠㅠ this is so hardㅠㅠ I was alone without a guardian, and it was so difficult. They told me I might feel nauseous because of the pain-control injection, so since I was having such a hard time, they removed the pain-control injection (oh, for reference, the surgery didn’t hurt at all for me). Forget the sore throat and everything, I just felt so nauseated. More than “nauseous,” it felt like it had come all the way up to the tip of my chin? Because of that, I stayed in the recovery room for a while, and since I hadn’t applied for hospitalization, I stayed at a nearby motel for 2 days. Thinking about it now, I think it was because my stomach was filled with gastric fluid from fasting for so long. If you feel like throwing up and nauseous like I did, you absolutely need to eat something; (at the permitted time) I ordered porridge and kept eating, and once I put something in my stomach, it got better. When I think about that, I say I’ll never get plastic surgery again, but other than that, there wasn’t really anything hard.
6. Dramatic change. They said my cheekbone bone was so thin that it showed through on X-ray, so they wouldn’t be able to move it in much. I was sad, but they said they would do as much as they could and proceed safely, so I thought I should be satisfied as long as it got reduced by even 1 mm. Director ㄱㅌㄱ is famous for speaking very directly, and he told me I looked like Goryeo celadonㅋㅋㅋ Before that, I’d often been told my face looked like the Pot of Greed, so it didn’t hit me hard, but I did think, wow, my face really is like a row of earthenware jars; As a result, people around me all envied me, saying the lines of my face became softer. It’s not super obvious, but my overall facial line became softer and my 45-degree cheekbones were resolved too.ㅠㅠ Whenever I took photos, it used to look like <^^> (to exaggerate..), but now it feels like (^^)?ㅎㅎ I don’t know if I’d call the result extremely dramatic, but I’m incredibly satisfied.
