Review of Only Getting Epicanthoplasty

This is a review of only getting epicanthoplasty. 7 years ago, I had double eyelid surgery with an incisional inline method, and I debated whether to get epicanthoplasty or not, but didn’t. At the time, one of my friends had gotten epicanthoplasty and it went badly, and the consultant who recommended epicanthoplasty had also had hers opened too much, so it looked strange, so I didn’t do it. But my eyes looked far apart, giving me an old-fashioned image, and as I got older, my Mongolian folds came down, so the inner corners of my eyes looked even more stuffy. I also got more wrinkles when I smiled.

So after thinking about it, I got epicanthoplasty. Honestly, I did want it to be noticeably obvious like Lisa or Park Min-young, but since I had already had incisional inline double eyelid surgery, there was a limit to how much they could open it. If I had known that, I wish I had done it together when I first got double eyelid surgery.

I had it done during the Chuseok holiday, and because of work, I had the stitches removed after 6 days. (Usually 7 days) On the day the stitches were removed, the scar area was slightly swollen and the redness was noticeable. It looked like I had an eye infection. Even from far away, it had that “what’s wrong with her eyes?” feeling. For about 2-3 weeks, it felt stiff, so I had to be careful when washing my face. The last photo is at one month, and now, about 6 months later, there is no scar tissue at all.  I think it’s because I only opened it a little, applied Noscarna ointment well, and took good care of it. It turned out very, very natural, to the point people wouldn’t know unless I told them, but the feeling that my eyes looked far apart definitely improved. If possible, I’d like to open them a little more, but my friends tell me not to, and the recovery period is frustrating too, so now I’ll just live with it haha
