Even so, I’m sharing them because I saw a lot of unedited before photos on apps and in this community, so I brought them first! The before-surgery photos are from high school, and honestly even my friends probably wouldn’t recognize me in those photos~ I used double-eyelid glue and made inner double eyelids all throughout high school, so every morning before school I transformed myself once before going! lolololololololol By my third year of high school, when I was almost 5 years into using double-eyelid glue, my eyes had basically become Yoo Hae-jin eyes. So I decided to get double-eyelid surgery and went around to all the hospitals my friends had succeeded at and the hospitals famous on apps. First, I’ll tell you the standards I used to choose my hospital!
1. Whether the director has many eye cases 2. No large hospitals 3. A place without a huge number of waiting patients (because they might not pay attention to me) 4. Skip places where the consultation is done by a consultant manager 5. Whether the director accurately understands my current eye case
With those 5 standards, I went around to dozens of places in Gangnam, Sinsa, and Apgujeong! They matched my 5 standards, but the director was, how should I put it, cynical... Or maybe I should say their impression was intimidating... They even showed me medical materials and said I absolutely should not do natural adhesion....... They said because of my sagging skin, a semi-out line would absolutely not come out, so it felt like a battle of wills, I guess..?? They showed me medical materials in English on a PPT and the consultation with the director alone took 50 minutes, so I came out completely drained. When I told the consultant manager, she said that’s the director’s style.. She also said that even during surgery, if something doesn’t match the director’s line, they undo it and redo everything, so it’s hard for her too! Up until the director’s consultation, I thought I shouldn’t do it there, but after what the consultant manager said, I still thought this place would be better than the others, so I had the surgery!
When you have surgery, make sure to bring one guardian with you. I went without a guardian, and while I was under anesthesia I was traveling through space, then somehow took a taxi home without even sunglasses on. The taxi driver took me all the way to my door! It was obvious at a glance that I wasn’t normal.!!
Anyway, up until the 2-month mark, because of the sausage line, I went to the hospital and yelled that they should do revision surgery for me, but they said swelling varies by person and told me to wait until 6 months; if it didn’t go down, they’d do the revision for free! So after people in another community said I needed to push harder, I asked the consultant manager to write me something like KakaoTalk messages or a certificate. They gave me the KakaoTalk messages, but absolutely refused to write a certificate, so I bothered them more than twice a week by phone or KakaoTalk. In the end, I’m now at 4 months, the swelling has gone down a lot, and I’m satisfied!
The reason I wrote this is that I don’t want to tell people the hospital name, and for surgery, rather than just choosing a director who’s supposedly famous for eyes, I really hope you set your own standards and decide based on them!
For example, there was a hospital I went to for consultation because my friend’s results were good, but when a patient argued in front of the reception desk saying their surgery was botched, they called the police... As soon as I saw that, I just ran off while waiting for my consultation! That could become my story too, you know~
And swelling!! You know everyone who asks people to check whether their surgery turned out well when it hasn’t even been a month since surgery? I learned that surgery doesn’t make you pretty right away with no swelling!
Anyway, I just rambled on, but I won’t disclose the hospital name separately! I don’t want to hear people say it’s promotion or that I’m a broker for no reason~
