Both hospitals explained that for autologous costal cartilage, they would make an incision under 2 cm, and that there are far more patients who say it doesn't hurt. They said it varies by person so they can't say exactly, but they would perform the surgery cleanly and the hospital would manage care well so I can heal quickly.. I'm scared too, but during the consultations I became more certain that if this is going to be my last surgery, autologous costal cartilage is the right choice... Ha, is researching really the start? The surgery is the start.. Since it has to maintain well afterward too, I'm trying to keep some mental space.. If I worry too much, I feel like I won't be able to live happily...
