I already had double eyelids, but the outer double-eyelid fold was too pronounced, and I wanted a clean, understated impression. I had always felt dissatisfied with my eyes. People often said I looked tired, and people around me kept saying my eyes did not look like mine, so after researching clinics and surgeons to remove the double eyelids, I had release surgery at Motive. I did not have particularly severe bruising or swelling, so there was no major discomfort. Once the swelling went down, the overlapping creases disappeared neatly, and my eyes looked much more understated. Since I removed my original double eyelids, I now have monolids, but my eyes do not look stuffy, which is perfect. My tired-looking eyes changed into eyes that look defined. I did not even tell people I had surgery, but many said my face looked better, so I only regret spending so long hesitating over the overlapping double-eyelid creases. I should have done it sooner. Anyway, if your eyes look overly heavy, it may be worth doing sooner.
