For context, I had my first rhinoplasty 3 years ago with silicone and ear cartilage, but inside my left nostril, the protruding scar tissue bothered me so much, and since about a year ago, whenever I touched my nose it would hurt then stop hurting, on and off. The pain was driving me crazy My nose was crooked, the middle of my nasal bridge had sunken in, and it was just a total mess. I wondered if I had gotten surgery just for this When I went to consultations at other clinics, they said I could choose between autologous costal cartilage and ear cartilage, but I didn’t like that.. Why should I have to choose? If they’re a specialist, they should understand the symptoms, clearly present their medical opinion as a specialist, and if it’s a situation where I need to choose, they should explain what would be best for me right now… Just saying both are possible and telling me to choose felt like the worst thing for me. If it’s a revision surgery, you probably know exactly what I mean?? For reference, I went to big clinics too and places said to be good, but they consulted like that, you know? I’m sure busy places have their reasons, but they didn’t suit me. When consulting, there were fewer places than I expected that sincerely listened to my concerns and clearly suggested solutions. Famous places were the same. And clinics with lots of directors, well… it feels like they’re going to keep taking patients according to the number of doctors, and the factory-like feeling is extremely strong… Just saying… I don’t know if it’s because I’m sensitive, but try going through revision surgeries a few times… seriously, it drives you insane From now on, my goal isn’t a cheap place. Even if it costs more, I just want to finish it in one go. After going around and around, the route overlapped so I went to one clinic for a consultation, and the exam plus consultation took about an hour. It seemed like there was one director, and I think the consultation with the director alone was about 20-30 minutes? Maybe I seemed like a difficult patient But what can I do. I had so many worries and questions The director listened to all my concerns, recommended autologous costal cartilage, and clearly explained the improvement effects. A few other clinics had suggested the same plan too, but hmm.. somehow this place resonated with me. And it was my first time hearing about something like an autologous costal cartilage certificate? but it also felt reassuring. It’s been a little over 3 weeks now, and I like both the nasal tip shape and the nasal bridge line. I definitely think the director is good at creating a straight-with-slight-curve line, and of course there’s swelling, but once it goes down I think it’ll look a bit slimmer
